The purpose of this book is to provide a basic understanding of the beliefs and traditions that bind us together as members of the Catholic Church. It is meant to be a bridge between preparation for the reception of the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist and the Sacrament of Confirmation and is intended for use by children with developmental delays.
May these children, who learn so well with their hearts, come to better understand the God who loves them and calls them, by their Baptism, to be members of His People, the Church.
Bible Stories by Pat Carter and Katie Eberhard is suggested as a resource for the biblical stories mentioned in the Bible section. This book is available through the Institute of Pastoral Initiatives: University of Dayton. A bible designed specifically for children may be used instead.
